Koteckis Grandview Grove | West Seneca, New York
Ashley and Jake met at his family’s annual “Bull Motorcycle Run,” which happens to be August 18th every year. Ashley was a bit nervous to ride on a motorcycle, but with a little encouragement from Jake’s sister Michelle, she ended up taking a ride of a lifetime. In between all the fast turns and beautiful scenery something special happened. Two weeks later was their first date, and the rest is blissful history. Two years later, Ashley and Jake have a tradition in fall of having a “pumpkin carve-off.” Once they completed their carvings, a close inspection of was done to determine the winner when Ashley pulled the top of the pumpkin and hanging from the top was a thin piece of thread. Attached was a gorgeous and sparkly diamond ring! Jake got on one knee and proposed. Ashley’s response was an instant, YES!
Ashley and Jake were married at the Hamburg Wesleyan Church with their closest friends and family. On route to the reception, we made a few photo stops: the Buffalo Bills Stadium and Chestnut Ridge – fun side note, our dad took Sam and I there to sled when we were little. Koteckis Grandview Grove was a beautiful venue and my favorite part was the yard in the back with the broken fence. It made a great location to squeeze in a few last portraits of the couple before the party. You can tell that Ashley really thought of everything. All the decoration had personal touches and the cake was even made by a close friend. It was a wonderful day and so happy we could be there to celebrate with this amazing couple.
