Anastasia State Park | St. Augustine, Florida
I get to shoot and meet new families every day, but it was a special day when I got to capture the smiles of my sweet nephew, Tyler’s one year portraits. Trying to create out own “Pinterest” moment, my sister and I brainstormed to do a beach session at Anastasia State Park in St. Augustine, Florida with a homemade raft. I’m a crafty person, but had someone better for the job. My brother-in-law, Grant made it and it was perfect (insert emoji with heart eyes here)! The last item was a blue denim romper with a little anchor from the Janie and Jack outlet – seriously cute.
The day we went out had been dark and rainy. We thought about canceling, but figured it was worth a try. Thanks to trusting my gut. It was beautiful and the lighting was a dream. I was actually thankful that Ty wasn’t walking yet because it made it easier to set him on the raft without having to chase him down. Every smile was my favorite and those little teeth were too much to handle. I can’t believe how fast the year went and I can’t go a few days without seeing him. I look forward to the next year. He has mom and dad down, just need him to say Bec now 🙂
