Ashley + John : A St. Augustine Engagement

St. Augustine, Florida

This St. Augustine engagement session was so much fun for several reasons. First, Ashley and John were so cute together, they were not scared of a little rain and getting kicked out of places. Now I’m sure you’re wondering where and how, but I blame the lack of a gate or sign for our wondering into this particular courtyard. Good thing we were able to capture some shots before we got the boot. I love shooting in St. Augustine because of all the different locations and when it started to rain, Flagler college was our safe haven. Ashley and John, thank you for making a rainy afternoon so memorable and can’t wait till your wedding.

Meet Ethan Carlson : Newborn Portrait

Over the last two years, I have had the pleasure of shooting newborn and family pictures for the Carlson family. I was so happy when Lana called me to say that she was pregnant again and booked me months in advance to shoot newborn pictures of the new baby. Ethan was born on May 5th and I can’t wait to hear about the adventures with his two older brothers.

Jennifer + Ross: A TradeWinds Island Resort Wedding

TradeWinds Island Resorts | St. Pete Beach Florida

I always love to travel for a wedding. Besides giving me an excuse to take a road trip with my sister, it allows me the opportunity to be inspired. Jennifer and Ross’s wedding was no exception. The couple live in Toledo, Ohio and chose the TradeWinds Island Resorts in St. Pete Beach for their destination wedding. Everything about their day was beautiful. The flowers, white sand beaches, and a gorgeous sunset. After taking pictures, Ross made a memorable entrance into their reception and the dance moves didn’t stop there. The reception was on the beachside of the resort under white paper lanterns and palm trees. It was amazing to be part of their day. I left there with not only great photos, but two new friends.

Jessica + Michael : A St. Augustine Engagement

Jessica and Michael first meet 6 years ago at a marathon training session, which made the first half of our session perfect. We shot on Jessi’s favorite street in St. Augustine and wore bright colored running clothes – the ring really popped tied to her shoe laces. After a quick wardrobe change, we walked and laughed through the historic St. Augustine streets. My favorite spot was a pink house with green shutters. It made for a great backdrop and complimented their outfits. If I were to quote anything from this engagement session it would be Mike’s best line, “what is my motivation?” They are a fun and lovable couple and I can’t wait for their destination wedding this October in the Keys.

Katie + Travis : A Greenville, South Carolina Engagement

          Downtown Greenville | South Carolina

Sam and I took a road trip to Greenville, South Carolina to shoot the engagement session of our dear friend Katie. Katie and Travis meet while in high school and have been inseparable ever since. I was so excited when I heard the news that Travis proposed and even more excited when they asked us to be their wedding photographers. We started the day on the bridge Travis proposed to Katie. You should see Greenville’s downtown – its incredible and wish I lived here. There is a waterfall that opens into a beautiful park surrounded by flowers and large lawns. I could have shot their all day, but we drove into the mountains near Katie’s parents home in Brevard. The Blue Ridge mountains were breathtaking and this Florida girl was jealous. My favorite spot was a clearing with a flower covered tree. The branches weren’t low enough to show up in the pictures, so Sam hung from one of the branches to bring them into frame (you’ll have to check out my Facebook to see the picture – its pretty funny). Katie and Travis are an adorable couple in love and it shows in their genuine smiles.
