The White Room | St. Augustine, FL
Kate and Brad were married in St. Augustine this past August. Ever since their engagement session, I have been looking forward to their wedding – they are the sweetest couple who also know how to have a good time. When I arrived, the salon was full of excitement, wine and lots of hairspray! There was a moment when Kate was getting in her wedding dress that she looked at her mom and started to cry. It was beautiful and made for one of my new favorite photos. Their ceremony was at the Trinity Episcopal Church in St. Augustine. This is my first wedding there, and I fell in love with the stain glass and thankful for the natural lighting they provided. We shot Kate and Brad’s portraits throughout the backstreets and arrived for their White Room reception ready to dance. Instead of your typical slow song, this couple broke it down to “Up Town Funk”! It surprised the guest and set the tempo for an upbeat party. Kate and Brad, you guys are amazing! Thank you for letting me be part of your perfect day. (more…)

While driving one evening after shopping at the St. Johns Town Center, I noticed they had cleared some land which was now full of yellow flowers. I was inspired and called my friend Jill up to meet me the next evening around sunset. I always find this the best time of day to shoot – the lighting is beautiful. Jill was amazing and I loved her dress. We had so much fun and I am so lucky to have a friend that will meet me on a whim just because I wanted to shoot in some weeds on the side of the road.
