Heather and Nathan dreamed of an outdoor wedding. That is exactly what they got this November at the beautiful Dunlawton Plantation and Sugar Mill Gardens. This historical site has 10 acres of lush botanical gardens, ancient ruins and a canopy of oak trees. Their ceremony was sweet and included a unity tree ceremony to symbolize the act of putting down roots, longevity and the strengths in their marriage. The couple’s reception was at the Riverside Pavilion located on the Halifax river. My favorite part of the evening was Nathan’s dance for the garter and Heather’s reaction.
